Gmail Team Flags ("the extension") lets members of a small team mark Gmail conversations as "being worked on" so colleagues can see a thread is already being handled. This policy explains what data the extension handles.
When you flag a conversation, the extension stores three things in a shared backend (Google Firebase / Firestore):
Your display name is also saved locally in your browser via Chrome's
storage.sync so you don't have to re-enter it.
The stored flags are shared only among users of this extension who connect to the same backend (your team). They exist solely to display who is handling which conversation. The data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
Flag data is stored on Google Firebase (Firestore). It is subject to Google's privacy practices.
A flag exists until it is removed (un-flagged) by a user. Removing a flag deletes its record from the backend.
For questions about this policy, contact the extension administrator at your organisation.
